Quote of the Day: from the film “Waking Life” September 25, 2006
Posted by ~V~ in : Images, Philosophy, Sounds, Quote of the Day , add a commentbecause i couldn’t have said it better myself…
The quest is to be liberated from the negative,
which is really our own will to nothingness.And once having said yes to the instant,
the affirmation is contagious.It bursts into a chain of affirmations
that knows no limit.To say yes to one instant
is to say yes to all of existence.

YouTube Video of the Day: Tori Amos - A Sorta Fairytale September 24, 2006
Posted by ~V~ in : Video, Sounds, YouTube Video of the Day , add a commentIt is sometimes possible for a music video with its images
to tell a completely different story than the one
that the song tells with its words.
Yet the two stories and artistic visions resonate together
and complement each other, casting each in a new light.
This is one of those music videos.
Enjoy!

About this image:
This is another photo i took one autumn night at Pioneer Courthouse Square
in Portland, Oregon.
A few months ago, i posted a photo of the falls from a different angle
(which makes a great desktop background wallpaper) here.
They’re both part of my Flickr set “city @night” which can be seen here.

Hey Blue,
songs are like tattoos…
Underneath the skin
an empty space to fill in.
Well there’s so many sinking
now you’ve got to keep thinking
you can make it through these waves.
~~~
Blue, here is a shell for you.
Inside you’ll hear a sigh -
a foggy lullaby…
